Radon Gas in Connecticut & Rhode Island

Every home, school and office in the United States should be tested for Radon gas as recommended by the Surgeon General.

It’s believed that roughly 1 in 15 homes have Radon levels over the EPA’s action level. 1 in every 5 homes in CT & 1 in every 4 homes in Rhode Island are believed to be above the acceptable EPA limit.

Most radon mitigation systems in CT & RI are installed in homes that had initial readings between 4-10 pCi/L. Homes are occasionally above 20 pCi/l, however, we have mitigated homes with over 80 pCi/L.

During every real estate transaction the home should be tested for Radon if a Radon Mitigation system has already been installed. If you have a radon mitigation system in your home it should be tested every two years.

You should also consider installing a dampness control system in your home that will alert you if there are high levels of dampness.

MITIGATION

If your tests indicate levels of radon that require attention, our team of engineers and technicians will design and install a custom radon mitigation system to effectively and safely move radon and other soil gasses out of your home.
